What did you do to your 996 today?

Finished my homelink project. Installed the buttons where the ashtray normally sits. Bought a cheap unit on eBay, opened it up and used only the circuit board and buttons. Made a mounting plate out of plastic. Required a fair amount of fine tuning to fit the space.
Paint was a 2 step process, rustoleum gloss black, then a top coat of rustoleum multi color texture paint. Color and texture are very close, not perfect.
i like the fact that all 3 buttons are available, and the small light is visible when a button is pushed.

Oil change day. Also changed the gearbox fluid. Tough time finding the correct lube. Ended up at the Dealership. Man those new Porsche's look good.

Oil change day. Installed spin on filter adapter and magnetic drain plug also. I guess after owning it 6 years figured it was time. Old filter looked great without any metal that I could see.

Got new rear tires. Wow what a difference all around. Hadn't replaced them for a few years and the old ones were downto the wear bars and even had some core showing. New ones are much quieter.

The guy in the video says that this video is the second part but there is nothing interesting or informative in the first video so start with this one.
