So maybe it connects to the bottom of the tray somehow? I’ll have to see if I can find a diagram somewhere.

Looks like the battery vent.

I finally got 4 days off!
I decided to spend my first morning installing the new red powder coated calipers(and new Brembo pads) that have been setting in a box in my garage for several weeks now.

Hey, where did you get the calipers? I am not really easily able to do the painting, so would like to purchase a full set.

Thanks! I’ll double check the battery in the car to see if it has a connection. I just got the car and the battery is less than a year old based on the date I see on it.

I found them on EBay.
I was looking for used black calipers that then I could paint ahead of time (or have powder coated) and install them in one day.
I found these used for a great price.
I’m planning on selling my black calipers now.
I‘ll include the Porsche stickers I bought before I found the red ones.

Those look fantastic!!!! I was going to have mine re-coated this winter in black (keep it toned down) but hard to beat classic red calipers!!! Were they recently redone or were they just a clean old set?

They were recently done.
They looked flawless, except one had a tiny nick.
If I had just paid ($800 is the local cost to have a set done to this quality) to have them done, I would have been satisfied.
The white “Porsche” name is paint, not a sticker. I can’t even feel a raised area with the differences in color.
Well used black sets cost $800+.
I only paid $1000 for my red set.

That's the vent line to the battery.

Never mind - I'm a day late...

I cleaned my sticky ***** with alcohol and they have been fine ever since.

Default Can I extend to 4 track days?

I know it is difficult to comment with only 2 samples, but so far I am strictly limiting myself to 3 track days between oil changes. For convenience, 4 track days would be dramatically better. Both of these samples have approximately 3 track days plus miles to and from the track. Am I able to extend to 4 track days?
