Default Muffler Interchange?

Will the stock mufflers from a 2002 C4S fit a 1999 C4? Thanks for your help!

OK, thank you. I'm looking for stock mufflers for my '99 C4 - haven't found aftermarket items that aren't boy-racer loud.

Blagdab,

If you are looking for stock mufflers for a mk1 996, recommend you contact Woody's parts llc out of Bastrop, tx.

I have a pair that came off my 01 C4 at about 59,000 miles.
PM if you are interested.

Not sure if they are still in biz, but try GHL. I have them on my 2000 and they are not too obtrusive.

Hey blagdab,

Scott here at Fabspeed Motorsport, if you are still in the market for mufflers for your 996, we offer a few systems that may interest you. Our 996 Carrera Maxflo Performance Exhaust is a system that will give you a great balance of sound, performance, and cut a few pounds from the rear of the vehicle. This system is designed to give you a deeper, throatier exhaust tone, with the interior drone and “boy-racer loud ” you are looking to avoid.

Take a look at the video here and let me know if this system is something you may be interested in. Feel free to reach out and PM me if interested!!!

Another option, substantially more affordable for us mere mortals: http://www.afterhoursautomotive.com/...emufflers.html
