Default Kermit gets a clean bill of health

I've owned my 2000 C2 for almost a year and a half. I just finished my first year between oil changes and sent a sample to Blackstone for analysis. When I first bought the car I had a DOF IMS bearing installed, replaced the water pump, low temp thermostat, coil packs and plugs. I put 3400 miles on the car in the last year and had a nice trip up to the finger lakes in New York last summer. I have an '02 996tt coupe as well but for nice summer days I'd rather drive the Cab. These are great cars and are probably the best value for a real sports car. Here is the oil report and a pic of the car.

My 2000 C2 cab is the same color, but I have a Savannah interior. I like the grey better.

What oil are you using? I get similar silicon values with DT40. They worried me at first because I felt like they were on the higher end of normal, but I’ve been suspecting that it’s simply the nature of that oil.

I'm running DT40, and my silicone was 9 after 3947 miles on the oil.
I'm not sure what the previous owner was running, but my first report silicone was 10 after 2592 miles on the unknown oil.
Receipt provided by the previous owner just showed that he got a filter and oil change.
No brand or weight was recorded.

Good to know. My silicon seems to run between 9 and 11 with DT40.

Thanks for the link. I'd say the DT40 is still the reason. My aluminum has been 4 or less and trending down but the silicons have been "elevated" but steady ever since I switched to DT40.
