Before you go the replacement route try reversing the battery in the key. Over the 16 years I have owned a Porsche or 3 I have "resurrected" otherwise unresponsive keys -- unresponsive in that pressing the lock/unlock button does not lock/unlock the car and there is no LED flash -- several times using this technique.

The theory is the reversed battery removes any residual power from the key fob circuit and performs a hard reset of the circuit.

No, you sound very serious but, trust has to be earned and in this day and age the internet has opened us all up for easy scams...Would you send me a deposit to cover my keys cost to replace should they get lost? I promise to send your money back when I get my keys back.
