Help Needed w/Durametric
First time user and I need to get some codes for JR
Communications Error Unable to connect to this module.
This may not be an indication of a problem if the car is not equiped with this control module
Never mind, I got it working!

I need to find the source of the oil leak that showed when the flatbed lifted the front to roll it off...Take a pic and send it to JR.

A sudden oil leak like is usually caused by a IMSB that has locked up and broken the stud off, or a broken rod that poked a hole in the block..

I'm thinking the latter. I can see the ribbed lines/conduit under the intake runners are wet. When the tow truck raised the front, oil came running down the left side dripping onto the farthest rear header tub. No oil under the car at all or between the tranny and motor.

Drained the oil, no abnormal signs. Pulled the bumper and heat shields off and started disconnect things it prep for dropping the motor.
Still can't find the source of the oil that spilled when the tow truck lifted the frond end up. I see some wetness behind the oil filler tube and on the ribbed lines below the intake runners but it looks old.
Back at it tomorrow...

Oil filter looked great, sump dropped and no chunks of metal like I was expecting (20-30 small black plastic pieces) and then I turned the motor and could hear what sounds like a timing chain flopping around.
I just wish the idiot that I bought it from didn't try to start the car again after the event!
Stay tuned...
AOS, how much oil would it spit out? I got a good half cup (I'm guessing) that came from somewhere.

Actually sounds kinda promising to me.
You may just end up with a rebuildable engine.
Maybe “just” a broken timing chain.
Thats better than a rod through the block.
Most likely valve and piston damage, but maybe you can reuse some components.
