Default Pelican IMS Bearing

Has anyone on here installed the Pelican IMS bearing? I'm looking to do the job (DIY) and the cost of the Pelican option seems to make it really tempting. Since it sounds like the Pelican IMS is basically an OEM replacement and Pelican recommends that you replace it every time you do a clutch replacement, it sounds like it should be a good option. The LM solution recommends a that you replace theirs at something like 50,000 miles so there doesn't seem to be much of a difference other than the LM solution costs almost 7 times as much.

Not an expert but from what i have read in ln makes the kit for pelican and its there standard kit. The "solution" is someting different, an upgrade, and a permanate bearing fix.

I thought this is what all the kids are doing:
http://theimssolution.com

it looks to be permanent with no replacement interval as there no longer is a ball bearing unit

I think you are confusing the warranty period with the lifespan . The solution should last as long as the engine .

The pelican bearing is a fine option for a diy person on a budget ok with changing it with every clutch disk . It’s not the best option for those not willing to get their hands dirty regularly .
Another person it might be suited for is someone with 120 k on their engine who is starting to save up for a rebuild who will probably overhaul the engine in a year or two anyway
or someone flipping the car
