Default Its great having a 16 year old son

With now an additional driver I can take my two speed yellow beauties to RTC Exotics Porsche Day. I thought I would share the pictures. I love the look of both cars but I am biased. The 993 is all original with 55K miles still almost showroom new....the 996 (also 55k) is heavily modified with a 997S Engine and Tranny (and just about everything else is new).

here are the cars right before the show in my driveway after I detailed them

Perfection. Interesting that in the first shot with even lighting the 996 seems a bit brighter than the 993, but both are speed yellow, correct?

Nonetheless, perfection.

That is a great point...I didn't even think of it that way...it was all caught up with the fact that it was the first time I had two Porsches at a show....However, you guys have set me straight...now when my son wakes up I am going to slap that SOB and tell him he's spoiled rotten and that he better shape up!...Truth of the matter is he is a good kid with aspirations of going to the Air Force Academy. But you are right, we are both lucky.

I also thought the thread title was a wind up. I expected to see pictures of a totaled 996.
Looking good though, a speed yellow 911 is on my car bucket list.

I think I was fairly sensible at age 16 (no tickets, accidents or incidents).

I also think that if you'd given me a Porsche to drive, you'd have been wise to keep a close eye on me.

I was 16 when I moved out and bought my first car for $500.00 (1961 Vw Bus) and it was a rust bucket. The memories my friends and I have in that van are priceless though!
Two of my good childhood friends had dads that where Doctors and drove 911's, that's when the dream started...

Good kids do dumb things in ordinary cars and really dumb things in fast cars. Give him the keys too many times at his age and the best case is that your future grandchild will be conceived in one of those cars.

Christ I sound like my dad...
