Could I swap out my Bose head unit for the factory double DIN unit? Is it a "plug and play" operation?

I have that OEM double-din in my '03 Turbo. It's not something that I would recommend you actually pay money for. I am thinking about downgrading to the single-din in your top picture so I can install the GT3 console.
