Radiator screens?

Anyone done this on their 996? Saw it on a set up GT3. any ideas on costs? Get so sick of seeing leaves in the damn thing

Many people have done it. Some prefer to buy pre-cut screens from companies like ZunSport or Rennline. Some prefer going to Home Depot, buying some gutter guard screen, and attaching it to the bumper with wood screws.

Very helpful Dennis. I needed to head to Home Depot for some mulch anyway. Good looking out.:o

I have the screens that Rennline sells, they are quite nice and install pretty easily. You can definitely make your own screens much more cheaply with similar black wire mesh, but I am too lazy to do that so I just bought the Rennline screens.

I know it sounds funny, but people really do it!

My screenforming skills went by the wayside years ago. :) Was out your way last week, Dennis. Ended up in Estes Park in a Challenger via National Car rental. Just beautiful.

We love it out here!

It's nice down in your neck of the woods too. I lived out in the Hill Country in Dripping Springs for a few years, and it was great!

I'm a pretty mechanically inclined person, but I dropped the $$ on a set from Rennline. The retaining clips are the best part of the kit. No more doing this for a while...https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...f45cfa6d9a.jpg

+1 on the Rennline clips. If you have extra clips from a screen kit, real easy to make your own additional screen set. Props for how Rennline engineers their products.

^^The price is seemingly pretty steep but they do look nice, and they fit properly - I imagine a DIY set would take quite a bit of trial/error, and they still may not look as good... I'll probably bite the bullet and drop the $300

I did a custom grill (customgrills.com). About $60 for a regular 996, C4S a little more material. Took me all day because the C4S has two planes and I had to do a lot of bending, I don't ever want to do it again.

Small diamond pattern, rubber seals for the outside of the screen. Zip ties to secure.

^^Yeah... Kind of what I figured. I'm a pretty hard core DIY'er but this is one I have very little to no interest in. $300 isn't going to change my life either way so...:surr:

How does it look from a distance away? How does it change the look of the front?
