i bought a pair of these steel ramps off ebay last year for under $229. I was a little skeptical at first but once i got them and really checked them i'm very pleased with them. I like the ability to use the hydraulic jack and get maximum height when the extra space is needed while it's already on the ramp. It has locks pins on the lift so it's extra secure. The ramp is also long enough that my lowered Porsche has no problem backing up onto the ramp. However i do have couple 2x that i put into the top platform so that my 315 wide tires sit confortably on the platform.

when i bought them last year they were $229..... these are the closest i've found. price went up but still not bad considering shipping is included. these are made of heavy duty steel so it's very sturdy.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hydraulic-V...IAAOSwFLBaYOTH

you can also google "steel hydraulic car ramps" and you'll see a lot more options....but these where the best priced.

they're also sturdy enough that while i had the 996 on the ramp i was able to put a car jack under front and raise the front end up to put on jack stands.

Thank you! They look really sturdy. Are they hard to store?

not really...never really weighed them but they're like 25-30lbs each. it's not that heavy to move around. It's painted and so it's possible to store outdoors but i keep mine in the garage. I have a section under my work table for ramps, floor jacks, jack stands, etc.... that i keep it at.

the only little awkward part is the pumping of the bottle jack. the top bar of the ramp gets in the way of full pump motion. so you only get like half the movement with the pump rod due the upper crossmember of the ramp getting in the way. I just use a smaller rod to pump the bottle jack with. But that's only a minor incovienence considering how seldom i use the bottle jack. . the standard ramp height is more than enough to do oil changes and checks on suspension components, etc..... like i said before it's just nice to have that option to raise it when you need that extra room under the 996.

Yes, that's another good feature. Also, if your car is super low, you can get longer sections that make the approach even more gradual.
This pic (not mine) shows the 72" version.

I went with the 56" version but even the e30, which sits lower than the Porsche has no problem clearing them.

I have a set from my 928. Do you need to jack the car first to block-up the wheels and enable you to get the liftbars underneath?

I have used the Rhino Ramps for about twenty years and works good .I do use jack stands when ever I have a car on ramps or hydraulic jacks .My only problem was the ramps would slide ,I made a 2x4 brace to the work bench that works good. Never saw a damaged Rhino Ramp.

I have rhino ramps, had them for years, but I have an original formula - haven't had any complaints.

However...if I didn't, I would get these:
https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/m...iABEgLSLvD_BwE

unlike the race ramps, they have a grove for the tire to sit in and potentially not roll off of it

get 2 sets and roll right on to them!

I also have used Rino Ramps for many many years. I like the two piece Race Ramp though as you can take away the first section to set a jack or jack stand for safety.
