Muffler support brackets - anyone have a pair of the 2002+ brackets for sale?
I had to destructively remove the mounting plates that attach the mufflers to the mounting bracket on my MY 2002 996.2.
I ordered a set from a salvage yard, and when I received them, I went to install them, only to find that the bolt spacing was different than the hole spacing. So I tested them on the 2000 996.1 I have in the garage, and sure enough, the spacing was correct.
It never occurred to me that the 996.1 and 996.2 would be different (at a glance, they looked the same).
So, I did some research - yup, I have the wrong brackets.
When I look on the Auto Atlanta parts fiche, I see a set of part numbers for the early cars through 01: 99611122702 and 99611122802. And a different set for the 02+: 99611123702 and 99611123802
The 02+ has a 3 as the fourth from last digit of the part number instead of a 2.
The ones I got were the earlier version.
I need a set from an 2002-2005...
So, to my question - do you have a set for sale or trade?
Please let me know.
Thanks!

They way they bolt up to the muffler looks exactly the same, so it is just a matter of the studs not lining up with the holes. I could grind off the existing studs, drill new holes in the other location, and then bolt them up if I really have to, but I'd rather not. Ideally, I'd like to keep it factory correct.

Here are mine. They're in perfect condition - I got them from Darin Fister. I just needed the metal tube out of one side (both tubes from one side) because mine were damaged removing my old mufflers. So, these are in great shape, but one side is missing both metal tubes. If you still have yours - you can use those. Let me know - I've never listed them for sale but they're just sitting in my garage and I have no use for them. Open to offers.

Hi, these look like exactly what I need. I tried to message you - please let me know if it didn't come through.
In the meantime, if anyone else has the same, and on the off chance is located in the NorthEast, and can ship asap, can you drop me a line?
I'm trying to get my car back together by Saturday morning for a PCA event at 10AM, so am short on time. Getting the part in hand by end of day Friday is my goal...
