Cel po430 could this be a failing maf?
Hi all, I am a new menber to the site. I have a 2000 milenium. I am the 3rd owner and the car has 150,000 miles on the chasis. The engine is a reman installed by Porsche main dealer at 90,000 miles in 2009. I have owner the car 3 years & put only 5,000 miles on it. The car is great, and the performance is amazing. Last year I had some smoke & codes 1128 & 1130. I suspected aos as it was around 60,000 miles on engine. I replaced that and that took care of codes & smoke. Since my ownership of 3 years the pcm & abs lights have been coming on but not all the time. It has a slight hunting idle and shakes/vibrates a bit at around 1300-1600 rpm. I changed the plugs & coils last weekend but that did not fix it. I cleaned maf thoroughly and reinstalled. After 300 miles pcm & abs lights came back and cel. The code on cel is po430. I am wondering could this be it needs a new maf or could it be a blown cat or o2 sensors? Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Dan.

Welcome! Don't forget to add your Millennium to the Registry thread, here:

I agree with Gert, it's most likely cat(s) ... I had the same issue, Techron fixed it for a while but I ended up with a new exhaust - which sounds wonderful!

Ok thanks guys. Deff could be cat. Only reason I was leaning towards maf sensor is because of pcm & abs lights coming on intermittently. I read somewhere they can be triggered by failing maf for some reason. Also would a bad cat cause hunting idel & engine missing at 1300-1600 rpm. I have ordered a new bosch maf sensor. I will put that in see if it helps. Prob due anyway. If not then I will concerntrate on cat.
