Cabriolets are very easy to find in the high teens range. You have the advantage of it being guards red with the IMS done. Leave the price where it is for a bit but leave some room to make the deal.

The very lowest I would accept for that car is $18000. Color combo, wheels and hard top with IMS done are tops. I would hold out on your asking price and deal accordingly.

Really?? If I told mine “ Hey let’s go to Vegas for a couple days knock around the casinos and shows then drive back in a new red convertible” She would be standing by the door with one way tickets in one hand and her suitcase in the other before I could complete the invitation.

Leave the price where it is because any potential buyers are going to offer you less anyway. It's not a ridiculously unreasonable starting point so some interested buyer will eventually come around and offer you $18k and you'll end up selling at $19,400 or something like that.

One thing you need to really think about is time vs. price. 996s are wonderful cars, your asked by price is fair, but this is very much a buyers market. Go look at cargurus and notice how long some decent 996s have been on the market. I know on my local craigslist ads some 996s are listed up to 6 months or more.

Unless you absolutely have to get rid of the car, pick a price that works for you. I've had mine listed off and on and simply won't sell it unless I can get what it's worth to me. I'm always amused by the fact that people selling high end performance cars like these are willing to give them away.
