By chance you have a link or any more info on that usb socket? Love how it sits flush. The cheapo one I have in now pokes out a bit. But thinking further, will it continue to "draw power" if you will if its left in? I may be thinking too far into this...

Maybe I misunderstood what you meant.
Here is the link to the usb port, it didn't sit flush until I modified the back of the plastic panel.

I am not sure how it would draw power unless you left the lightning cable (charger) plugged into it. There is no power to that source unless the radio is on since the usb in the port is powered by the radio and used for apple play.
