Common mods seem to fall into a few main categories: reliability, performance, aesthetics. Lots of options in all categories, check out the FAQ page for a good intro.

An underrated mod is adding this relay to add the 3-blink (actually 4-blink) turn signal functionality that most newer cars have:

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...er/000998229a/

$50 and an afternoon to add a feature you'll use every day.

Also upgrading the cigarette lighter if you haven't already. Mine was the wrong diameter to fit most modern things; they fit loose and made bad contact. Replacing with the 997 part fixes this.

Painted center console is one of the most dramatic interior mods if yours is a drab color and/or worn.

I have the dark blue interior which I personally love. I replaced the cig lighter when I did my double din radio conversion with an HDMI/USB port. I think this conversion of the radio and cig lighter made the car look 15 years newer.
