I’m a weirdo car guy. I find the ultimate pleasure in finding the best cars under $20k. I could sell all 3 of my cars and get something much more expensive but I wouldn’t be as happy. One day this week I drove my 996 to lunch. A few days later I drove my ZR-1, and Friday I messed around in my Miata top down (it’s scheduled for a V8 transplant). Would a 997 turbo be better than all 3? Possibly but I like variety.
The 996 is an incredible mix of engineering, classic lines, and offers a great driving experience. Enjoy!
My daily is a truck for bad weather, towing and moving car parts. It’s pretty quick for a truck though.

Great story, awesome car! And hey, now you have some cash in the kitty for when you're 20yr old pcar goes wrong, lol. The 997 is a better looking car inside and out, but the 996 has just the right combination of raw driving experience and tech/modern parts. I love mine more than i did they day i bought it, hope we're both the same a year or two from now, enjoy!
