Hmmm. Now you have me thinking ...

Maybe. This is a completely separate circuit, but if I could figure it out, then yes.

Ahh nice, I'm on board for additional lighting not so much for the ability to change colours.

Looking forward to the results though!

This is what I have so far. Just waiting for a few more items and then I can start building the harness.

Nice, if you want to go really OEM get yourself some 9mm wide TESA cloth tape its the OEM tape for electrical wire wrapping.

May be of no interest to you though!!

I'm always happy to take suggestions. I may consider wiring it to the dimmer, now that I have all the wiring diagrams.

I am waiting for connectors and the jumper wires with the LEDS so I am now waiting.

Hi jim010,

I like the idea of the footwell lighting. Excuse my electrical ignorance but if you were to tap it into the dimmer switch, would the footwell lights stay on when the car lights are on? I would prefer them to dim out on their own after a certain time once both doors are closed. This is just my preference.

After looking through the Porsche wiring diagrams, I can't even find the wiring for the dimmer switch. So I don't know if I can wore it up that way.

I may just go simple and do it the way I did it before. I'll keep looking.

building the harness today. At least I can use bits from old dash harnesses from previous projects.

I'd use a relay with that switch.

I'm sure it's probably not too complicated to figure out the switch then use it however it suits your needs.
