Is anyone else getting a spamy ad that redirects to an amazon gift card thing? I’ve been getting it every day that I’ve visited rennlist for the past two weeks. It happens when I click on a thread and instead of going into the thread it just takes me to this super spammy ad page and my browser won’t go back.

I don't get them on my Desktop PC but on my iPad I cannot even look at Rennlist, every time I try I get these pop-ups. It is a fishing scam.I have updated the IOS, removed all the history and cookies, followed numerous methods that I found by googling (apple and other sources) nothing works, so I guess I just won't look at Rennlist on the iPad. When you google this subject they say it is not the OS but has something to od with the site (Rennlist). Really a bummer.

There are several threads on this topic in the “forum glitches” area. It is a serious problem for iPad and iPhone users. Not sure about other mobile devices, but IB is struggling to find a solution.

Under experimental feature in safari settings, I disable the “link preload” option. Seems to have solved it for me. The problem first appeared on the Range Rover forum, but also spread to this one as well as 6speed.

Happens on my Android too. I'll try to find a comparable setting to disable.

I don't have the issue on my computers and I don't use Rennlist on my phone. I did note the following at the bottom of the page; I wonder if this "feature" is the cause of the issue?

I’ve been getting these pop ups more and more on my iPhone. Installed a pop up blocker called 1Blocker. That solves the problem for me.

Add me to the list. Not all the time, but just enough to be annoying.

The only time I get spam is when I have not logged in. If I open Rennlist just to view without logging into my username then I will get some. Try joining the forum

Download the free Norton and blocker app. Problem solved.

On your Apple device, turning off JavaScript in Safari settings will stop it. Updating your IOS also helps.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll be doing this since 99% of the time I’m on my iPad while browsing Rennlist!

I downloaded an app called Ad Buster for my iPad. That did the trick.
