Default Bluetooth for CDR-220

I thought I'd post this so others don't have to read through a ton of threads about bluetooth and how to add it to your stock radios like I did. You can get a module that plugs into the back of your CDR-220 radio and it will take over the operation of the CD Changer to give you an AUX input so you're able to use the bluetooth. You can set it up to switch back and forth between the CDC and Aux, but then the CDC runs constantly.

You can get the one I got from:
https://creativecaraudioshop.com/

Or you can go to the manufacture of our radios:
http://beckerautosound.com/

My unit cost $128. It needed a ground and a power tap to eliminate all engine noise.

Just an FYI, you can buy the exact same cable for $5-$10 from Ebay or Amazon.

I have this one and it works brilliantly. http://www.discountcarstereo.com/BLU-BKR235.html

I added a ground loop isolator to eliminate alternator whine for under $10.

Hey, I searched and did not see a reference to this offering from Becker. I desperately want to keep my stock CDR-220 look, but need bluetooth. Has anyone tried this?
ebay...PORSCHE BOXSTER / CARRERA BECKER CDR-220 with Bluetooth Streaming
I am hoping that it is a direct swap.

Why swap it out when you can add bluetooth without removing your existing CDR-220? Significantly cheaper too.

Great point. I was just worrying that my 16 year radio would potentially fail at some point soon. I am not sure where Becker is getting the radios for this sale, but I was hoping they were new or fully refurbished.

Here is what I used:

A2D-BKR Audio Streaming Adapter for select Becker AUX Ready Radios
http://www.discountcarstereo.com/A2D-BKR.html

It works fine for streaming audio via Bluetooth from the iPhone. It is only A2DP, so no phone calls, but that is a-ok with me.

The only problems I've heard with Becker radios is with the control ***** getting tacky.

Yeah mine are pretty sticky!

I use this thing for bluetooth on my car:

Amazon Amazon

Minimal investment and if it goes bad I can buy ten more before it hits the cost of most of these other solutions.

Replacement buttons for the Becker radios are readily available, and easily replaced. The A2D-BKR is a 10 minute install, easy plug and play, and is only $70. I like the fact that it is invisible, seamlessly integrated into the factory radio, doesn't involve any wiring, and is easy to use.

I DIY'd my friends bluetooth for his 996:

Here's what I used:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Aux-In-Mini...72.m2749.l2649
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Auto-Au...72.m2749.l2649

Super easy and it effectively becomes plug and play
