I've been looking at installing the 997 GT3 Alcantera shifter **** and boot into my 05 996 C4S.

Im seeing all different kinds of posts regarding this. I know the shift boot on the 997 shifter wont fit the 996 console. Does anyone know if someone makes a retrofit kit for the 996? or has anyone in the LA area had a new shifter boot cut to spec for the 996?

Any recs? I love the way it looks.

No help other than I made the mistake of buying a GT3 boot once and it definitely didn't fit.

I wish too that there is a retrofit. Unfortunately there isn't one that I know if either.

Thanks Fracture. The custom shift boot is exactly what I need. Now just to find the top of a 997 shift ****!

Someone should really make a retrofit kit. I bet a ton would buy.
