Color change?

Check out the dip your car youtube channel for some cool examples of what you can do with plastidip: https://www.youtube.com/user/DipYourCarcom
You can do this yourself relatively cheaply and peel it off when its time to sell. I agree with everyone else that green cars are relatively hard to find and should be left green.

Yeah, a matching top would look good.

If you want to do it on a budget, wrap it. Wrapping is cheaper than a quality paint job. But, if you have unpainted panels, you may want to have those painted to match prior to installing them - then wrap it. Do some searching, plenty of people have wrapped their cars themselves with good results. Also, try shopping around for a wrap quote - I had a quote for my last car (slightly smaller and less surface area than a 911) but it was only about $800.

Bro! It will look like *** and completely devalue whatever little the car may end up being worth in the end. Color changes never end well, unless you gut it... motor out, interior out, etc.... not worth it. And, you are right, a wrap is expensive and not worth it either, 5k min.
Two options that you have not considered, if you don't care about resale value or time it takes to sell: Find a Maacco that has a decent paint guy working there and get the "ambasador special" or whatever for $500 bux and enjoy the hell out of it, it will last long enough till you are ready to sell. I have had a few of these paint jobs and they looked good for up to 3yrs till I sold the cars. Tip? Avoid color change or at least do a diff shade of the same color, ie: say, bright lime green if you want it to be loud and then the jams, engine bay, etc will not stand out as much. Maybe accent trim or do decals in matching OEM green to blend it. Then, be prepared to answer questions when selling and take a hit on asking price.
OR... and this is my vote and best option for you IMHO:
Liquid wrap it ie: Plasti Dip it yourself for pennies on the dollar then take it off before you sell it. Buy a "kit" and a Wagner electric sprayer and knock yourself out my friend! Google and Youtube that shiiit.

Ha, I decide to wait until I get my turbo and keep mine green. Do you have pics of yours?
When I was buying mine, my next choice was between this one and a wrapped mexico blue one. With all the maintenance receipts I got with mine, I am happy I went with mine. Now that I have my IMS changed, I am just driving it as much as I can.
