I can draw things up really fast so I started a model/drawing in solidworks for this which I can give out to the folks on the forum who want it. Here's a screengrab, however the drawing is missing dimensions.

Boss C is missing an offset from the left hand or right hand side

Feature A seems to be missing some dimensions on the hook piece

B1/B2 is missing a dim from the thru hole to the base of the feature

The plate doesn't seem to have a thickness shown

The Bolts with sharp ends are missing dims and thread types

If someone could provide the info missing I can wrap this up today and make it available.

Thanks!

Wow thanks Chris

Boss C is flush with the outside edge of the plate. The plate (I think) is 1/2" thick but I will verify.

I will get additional dimensions of the hook piece

Here are the dimensions of the claw. Plate is 10 mm.

As for the bolts, I don't think the thread is critical, they only thread into the boss on the fixture and not into the engine itself. The end of the bolt that slides into the casting has a tapered end and ends up at a diameter of 11 mm.

By some bizzare cosmic coincidence, I read this thread earlier today, and now, I was going through a shop manual pdf and stumbled upon this. Look familiar? It's even got a part number! Your welcome

I searched using the part number and I found this:
https://www.fvd.net/us-en/1907219592...late-9592.html
Now everyone can buy one.

Damn! Reminds me of the $600 + wheel hub puller I didn't buy... I made one for about $10 worth of scrap steel

Any savvy members able to estimate what it would cost to build? Furthermore how much would it cost to pay someone to build it?

Cosmo & Chris - Thanks for your efforts. PN or not this homebrew effort is fantastic.

Think I'm still missing the bolt hole to top surface dimension and the thread type/pitch. I have it as an M12x1.5 right now:

Ever wonder why your local dealership charges more than your local Indy? These tools are sent alone with the "essential tools package" that is automatically sent along with the bill. We had one of those at my dealership that was never used, we used the high dollar electric lift table table for engine/trans removal/installation, and just for holding engine in place we used the bolt on engine support, or just a tall lift jack stand.

From the base to the center of the bolt is 30 mm .

Center of hole to top is 8.5 mm. Very little material above the bolt hole .

Ok I think I got my CAD stuff all done now. I can supply the Solidworks native files, STEP, IGES and PDF drawing for folks. Perhaps if someone has some kind of hosting I could email it them and they could share it out? DM me for my email address. Thanks
