Default Case Dowel Sleeves

Hello Guys.
preparing for my engine for the build, I would like to replace the case dowels.
the parts list is a bit confusing and I will appreciate your help.
so this is what I got.
1. Part # 999 012 049 00 (#2 in the diagram) is showing as 3 needed. I have only 2, and based on my records should be located on the bank1 half case in the locations marked with the yellow circle.
is there a location for the third one?
2. Part # 996 101 361 51 (#3 in the diagram) shows that only one is needed, but I have 2 of them (missing the 3rd one), but my records show I had 3, and their position is marked with the red circle.

thanks in advance.

My records show I installed the hollow ones shown in your pic and the solid ones in the two positions in yellow. So far my engine is still running!

I have a video that I took before shipping out the block, showing the hollow ones in the red and the solid ones in the yellow.
I just don’t understand how come the PET is showing 3 solid ones needed when I have only 2, and 1 hollow when obviously 3 are needed.
maybe the PET is wrong?

I have found numerous small errors like this in PET and VW's parts catalog is even worse.
And don't get me started on all the errors in the wiring diagrams.

I too questioned this since the kit I bought from LN had more dowels than I needed. I searched forums and internet for references to the dowels as well as pictures as well as my own pictures to conclude the picture you have shown is correct.
