Default 997 GT3 Cup Style Fenders for 996

Hey everyone. I just wanted to show off a little something that I've been working on for my car. I really like the design of the 997.2 Cup flares, and wanted some more space for width up front without trying to cram wheels and play with risky fitments. I have taken the OEM GT3 Cup flares and HEAVILY modified them to fit the 996 fenders and GT2 front bumper. It was an extremely tedious process, and I would not recommend that someone attempt to replicate the same process. They're about 90% complete, and I plan on having them sent out to have molds made very soon. The result is somewhere between 30-35mm of increased width after the fenders are cut, and a very aggressive look. I also will be making the flare for a Turbo bumper and Carrera bumper for friends of mine as well. Let me know what you all think! Thanks for your time and enjoy the pictures.

I like it. A lot. If I had my C4S still I'd definitely be wanting a set.

Just an update guys! Here are the completed, painted flares. I think they came out gorgeous, and the finished result is far better looking than just primer contrasting the Mexico Blue paint. I would love feedback and any interest. Dont worry, the fenders cleaned up fine, just some surface scratches, tape residue and sharpie lines. Enjoy!

Here are some images of the flares installed on my car. A couple sets have already been sent to SP Motorsports, and another set is headed to the midwest soon. I am running a 265/35R18 on an 18x10 front, and it clears nicely. Keep in mind you ABSOLUTELY need to do the radiator bracket mods as outlined by pwdrhound. Cars with proper RWD front geometry may have an easier time than those of you thay have only converted to RWD and retained Turbo front suspension and uprights. Usually with this type of stuff it ends up not looking that good in many cases, these look nice.

I agree, thank you. I used and modified the factory flares to design these, and went to extreme lengths to ensure that they fit and looked proper on the 996. I believe the GT2 front bumper aids to it looking proper, not sure how the normal turbo or gt3 bumper would take to the look

Looks fantastic! Amazing how such a subtle mod (obviously not in terms of energy/time spent) can make such a big difference in overall presentation, kudos!
