Now A 996 C4S Owner
My 3rd 911 & 1st water cooled! Had a 82 Targa, 87 Coupe & now this 996 C4S. I work for Mercedes-Benz & am a Porsche fanatic(I still daily drive an E-Class ) Had this for a little over a week or so & enjoying every bit of it.
2004 w/ 54k, 6spd, PSE, Nav & couple other options...original MSRP of just under $95k.

Congrats on the purchase as it’s a fantastic all around car: fast, stable in all weather and beautiful. I too went from air to water and haven’t looked back. My journey was from a 80 SC to a 73T to a 90 964 and finally my speed yellow C4S. I drive mine daily and track it 4 weekends a year.

Looks really good in black, wish mine had the "quad" exhaust tips because those look really good. Also, I drove an '82 Targa for 11 years, from 155K miles to 295K miles. In those 295K miles the engine was never opened up, but then it blew either a timing chain guide or a rocker arm broke, but until then it was the most reliable car I ever had. Very good car, but I am hoping we will all see that kind of long-term reliability for most of the 996s, and of course the C4S is light years heard in performance in just about every category. Mine is a daily driver, I wouldn't trade back.

Thanks gang!
She's going in for wheel reconditioning, one with very minor scuff & 2 have some paint chipping. Redoing all four, thinking about going 1-2 shades darker possibly? Tough deciding on anything other than factory spec though
