Yeah that would be my guess. Went to HIDs or LEDs.

I started working on my double din upgrade. the butt connectors were more than likely from an aftermarket amp. they were all going to the HAES 40x6 amp (m680).

Looks like the PO took alot of time to return the audio system to stock before selling it. I'm taking the haes out also and putting in a small rockford fosgate that supports 2ohms (eliminating the dsp).

I also had to customize the way the radio is secured into the kit. the braces that came with the kit were too big and were hitting the a/c vents behind the dash. it wouldn't go all teh way in.

i just drilled some holes in the side of the kit and screwed the radio into the kit so it's all one piece. way more secure than the way it came/designed.

I would've been 100% finished yesterday but i learned a hard lesson about DSP and the stock amp that I hadn't foreseen or researched well enough i guess.

So, waiting for my new amp...... c'mon amazon prime....

also will be installing a backup camera and replace the cigarette lighter with a USB/HDMI solution from another radio thread on here. great idea.

So, looks like now i need to figure out

a) if i have stock speakers

2) if i do, how to wire them up in 2ohm configuration

I'm assuming all of the speaker wires I need are accessible from the stock amp location and the harnesses/wires that are all already there.
