I was looking at Lloyd's Floor Mats, as I'm thinking about getting some for my 911, but was asked if I have a Carrera, Carrera 2, or Carrera 4. I know my car isn't a Carrera 4, but am a bit confused about the difference between a Carrera and a Carrera 2. Are there 996 Carreras and 996 Carrera 2s? Or are all 996s Carrera 2s? Or is that a glitch on the website. I've tried Googling the answer, but haven't found anything useful.

I'm fairly sure all the mat fitments are the same across the 996/986 platform (Carrera/Carrera 2, Carrera 4, C4S, Turbo, GT2, GT3) with the possible exception of coupe vs cab and bose vs no bose in the passenger foot well.

Carrera's are referred to as C2 or Carrera 2 but there is no such thing that I know of. They are technically just Carrera's.

Awesome, thanks! I bought a cheap floor mat (that I had to cut up to fit properly) until I get good, custom fitted floor mats. I live in So Cal, where it almost never rains, but after I bought my 996 it rained for a few days straight (of course). I grimaced every time I got into my new Porsche with wet, muddy feet.
