I'm looking at doing some DE events and I have a question about the static rollover bars in the 01' 996 Cab. I know they can be released to the upright position, however what I don't know is how or if, they can be returned to the static position after raising them. Your input would be helpful as to whether I can release and return them or leave them down and run with my soft top up. Thanks.

Yes, they can be reset manually.

It's likely your sanctioning body won't allow you to run with just the pop-up roll bars. They're going to want a fixed bar instead.

In my area it's dependent upon the track. Any track with significant elevation changes requires a roll bar while those that are more mild you can get away without one in the lower run groups.

My local track events are good with hard top installed as well.

How do you manually release the roll bar? I saw a photo but I can’t get it to release. Is there a trick to it?





I tried this but it doesn’t seem work. Any ideas?
