No worries! Can’t have ya wasting a Saturday morning. I just spent couple hours yesterday fabbing a ground point under my dash, so totally understand staring at the problem.

So unto this crank pulley removal issue. I had read a few threads last weekend after I tried to break it loose and wasn't having much luck. being that my history with motors is usually chevy. needed some guidance. Anyway FOR ME since I had the exhaust off and the rear bumper off I attacked it from the bottom. I didn't have enough travel from the top with my breaker bar but underneath... plenty. My first attempt It came right off. The pics pretty much explain how I did this.

Just sharing for those who might be doing this.

Also installed the IPD plenum. Waiting for another sensor to come in to put the throttle body back on plus I have a little more polishing to do to it.

I feel guilty making these posts with them not being very exciting... but this thread has been an excellent way to documenting this car so here is another

So I've been chipping away at this speaker box for a while now here and there. its coming out really well and I'm almost done. still need to paint the spots where I'm putting "Carrera" and "911" candy green and then put the stickers over that spot and paint the box black. peel up the stickers and voila

Now that I'm wrapping up this 944 paint job for a member here I'm freeing up some room and I started my wheels last night. Started sanding it down with 600 grit and cleaning it up. going to go black with the color and I'm going to change out a few things on the car for black as well so the them will be green with black being the contrast color now. black Porsche emblems, tint the windows, tint the front and rear lights and the black rims.. I think it will look ok.

I'll post up pics of clutch/fly wheel when I make some more progress. Been to busy lately to get over there to work on it.

Thanks for looking guys.

the rims will look much better black i think, it would be easier to sandblast or soda blast them, i did a set years ago and it worked great

ya I agree. I think it will contrast the green much better than the polished look.

I don't want to take the tires off so i'll just sand them lolol

quick note I forgot to mention. the fiberglass box weighs 14lbs vs the wood box that weighed 45 not sure how it will sound.. we will see.

Well done, just saw your thread for the first time. Finally someone else is actually doing things with their own hands too as opposed to farming it out. Excellent work.

I agree, I think black will look better in person.
But black wheel usually disappear in a photograph.

you hit the nail on the head with that one tex. That was my one reservation when buying these rims. it was just such a good deal for such an nice high end set of wheels and I couldn't pass it up. I'm going to be hiding the detail and deep dish of these wheel when people see them from a distance but I think the over all look will go well with the other black accents I'm going to do.

thanks guys.

I know I want to put some green somewhere on that wheel but I'm worried about my skills for doing it on a wheel. I don't want it to look like a garage wheel paint job. After looking at tons of diy wheel pics online over the last few weeks preparing for this... I'm worried lol

I still need to set sand the wheel land clear coat so theirs still time for me to get some guts and do something.
