As I remember it:

The bottom of the seatbelt is bolted to the outboard side by the seat base.

The seat belt guide is bolted to the c pillar.

The retracting mechanism is attached to a removable bracket that is bolted to the chassis. The retracting mechanism fits in a slot and tab arrangement, and is also bolted to the bracket.

Never mind I figured it out, the picture was deceiving and the bracket actually sits back closer to the rear glass where I noticed the three studs on the chassis.
Thanks guys.

You can just make out one of the studs in the right of the pic, glad you figured it out. Why do you want the rear seats back in though?! Haha

Hey Nick. Yeah please take pics. May be helpful. After you remove the belts, what are your plans for them? Could I purchase the mounting bolts off you?

If not, any one else have a set of hardware lying around or know the specs on the bolts? I've tried a few different from the hardware store and none seem to fit.

You can get the bolts from the dealership, they will only be a few dollars

I'm going to keep them so I can reinstall if/when I sell the car. As said above you can buy the bolts at the dealer, Pelican, Suncoast, or any Porsche supplier.

  • Yes, it is expensive
  • These are specialty bolts
  • Anything you buy at a car dealer is going to cost a lot
  • Porsche parts are generally on the high end price wise
  • I believe that is a retail price, you can probably get it for less
  • Try Rennpart, they've treated me well in the past
  • There are other dealers (Suncoast) that also sell at a discount (<--- Sunset Porsche, sorry, thanks for the correction jcc0016)
  • You might get lucky at a pick a part yard, someone parting their car, or by calling a wrecking yard, there are lots of them
