Default New '04 C4S Owner

Hi folks, I purchased an 1-owner 2004 C4S with 38K miles a few months back. I previously owned a 1993 C4 so this is a bit of a change! I purchased it bone stock with original IMSB... more on that hot topic in a moment! The car is silver with black leather sport seats with red stitching and red seat belts! Between the clean interior optioned exactly like I desired the M6 transition I was very pleased with this find. I really wanted black on black or seal gray but the silver is clean and not a huge compromise. It was more important to get a clean example than the perfect color combo IMHO. The one feature that I am sorely missing is the Sport Exhaust!

Since the purchase I have purchased refurbed OEM winter wheels and new winter tires so I can drive year-round. I am in the DC Metro area so the Winters are not that brutal but do not want to park it a lot.

For the interior I purchased Coco mats that was red/black and really draw out the red stitching in the seats! A bit pricey but well worth the cost! I also ordered a pair of the Ultimate cup holders (a most) and the Rennline magnetic phone mount - which works fine. The PO installed an single-din Alpine head unit about 10 years with an amp but kept the Bose speakers. I replaced the head unit to a newer Alpine with USB/BT features. This was an easy swap out as the wire-harnesses were interoperable! I may go to a double-din unit later but I do not use Carplay or Nav in my Tahoe so not sure why I would pay for the extra features here. The sound quality is good as-is too... plus I enjoy the engine sound mostly!

I decided to be proactive and have several items taken care of as preventive measures. For my peace of mind, I had the IMS Solution installed and I am happy to report there was no sign of the IMSB failure! While the engine was out I had the following items replaced too: RMS, air/oil separator, Clutch, Fly-wheel, Clutch Slave Cylinder, water pump, low-temp thermostat, drive shaft flex disc, and a few other odds and ends too.

I plan to keep this car for a while and drive it hard! I have read this forum daily and appreciate everyone's input and knowledge sharing!!!

That silver wide body is begging you for some Sport Techno wheels. Trust me, you will hurt some feelings.

Gorgeous car, congrats!

Welcome to the team. Great looking car. You mentioned that the one thing the car did not have that was on your list was a sport exhaust. Read the many threads on the Fister Mod. I love the sound and many others feel the same way. Again, welcome.

I just watched a youtube video review of the Fister mod exhausted earlier today! From what I can hear on youtube and from the reviews I read I think the sound/tone sounds is something I would like a lot. I am also looking at the Evoms V-Flow Air Intake....

Thanks for the warm welcome and suggestion!

Awesome car! +996 on the fister exhaust. If you're looking for that sport exhaust sound I recommend it. Not sure which video you saw, but I put one together of before and after on my C4S:

Thank you! That's the one I watched! Great video - I really appreciate you putting it together and posting! I also think I can change them out myself too based on your video.
