Talking Need GUNDO Hack Shop In Morris County NJ

Gents, I have an extra set of OEM Mufflers from my 03 Targa, I want to have the Gundo Hack performed, but I can't seem to locate a shop that would do it, I tried (PT), but they quote me 350$ - which is insane, considering they are dismounted,so all that is needed to to perform the Wielding - Any Info is much appreciated

Protosport , Pompton Plains has done some some " to go " work in the past for me. The work isn't Porsche specific so a decent muffler shop cad do it , perhaps without the Porsche tax. Perhaps stop in Bruce's speed shop and check out the wall for a business card of a exhaust fab shop. Good luck.

Take the mufflers and a pic to one of the muffler shops.

Yep I was getting similar quotes around STL - most shops just told me "I don't know I'd need to see it..." and wouldn't give me a quote at all even after sending this video:

I ended up just buying the base (non-coated) models from Fister themselves - they arrive Friday!

You will 100% not regret it - I had Fisters on my first 996 that were installed by the previous owner. Once I got my new car last week I didn't even last 24hrs before ordering them - it adds that much to the experience.

I bought 2” stainless pipe and a hole saw, drilled holes, fitted the pipe and brought them to a welder who used a stainless stick welder, MIG?, to weld them for me. This was a few years ago and it ended up costing me ~$120. That was to do the old style ”J” shape mod. The current favorite is straight 1 1/2” pipe.

I had mine done by Fuccello's custom exhaust. I had it taken off and they charged me $175. They are in Hamilton NJ.

Pt quoted me $700 with them on the car and I was shocked.
