Default How much lowering requires bump steer tie rod kit?

I am in the process of installing coilovers and poly bushings on my 996 C2. I bought a Rennline bump steer tie rod kit but now I am wondering if I need it. The car originally had USA M030 suspension on it. I am only lowering it 1 inch to 2 inches max in the front with the coilovers (don't want to go too low b/c I drive the car to/from the track). Can anyone tell me if it's worth it to bother to install the bump steer tie rods or just keep the stock tie rods going down only 1-2 inches?? Looking at the tower height on the bump steer tie rods it looks like it might be intended for a bigger drop than I am doing.

Thanks!!!

You’ll be fine. At I’m at 4.25â€F and 5â€R and was dang surprised I could get away with stock toe arms and droplinks. As far as front bump steer, below 4 is where it starts to kick in. But a little racing secret is that bump steer is toe out. So it hurts in the rear but actually helps you corner in the front. My PB in my racecar was 3.5â€F 4â€R.

Thanks Slakker that makes sense w/ toe out. I won't be going lower than where you are at.
