I made it through the video...He acts like the pretentious individual in real life like he does here on the boards. Hell half his posts on this thread show it. Hopefully one day people will stop bowing at the alter even after getting condescended to.

I hear the book version of this movie has received excellent reviews. It was edited by Johnny Irish. Again, so I hear.

Looking forward to the sequels and prequels. Needs more hot chicks. And, exploding stuff.

In a forum where it's a commonplace to post racy images of the most current female models flashing their breasts and butts for the camera, endless non-porsche-996-related stories of John Ireland's spending practices, Kalash exploites and excursions in his Acura, KCAttorney's love for Guards Red and the Turbo, Cuda's pursuit for the perfect house for all of his cars, Schnelly's destain for the abuse of the English language, etc. etc. etc., then I think people can bear with one little review and critique of a video that was produced by one of the largest car clubs. Had it been personally shot by an amateur, then I wouldn't have bothered with offering an opinion on it unless asked, but since this was supposedly produced by one of PCA's digital media employees, I think the comment is well justified. And if you're a digital media producer and can't handle constructive criticism, then they need to find another line of work.

b3 took the time to give professional, constructive feedback. A "thanks, I'll pass that on to the video production staff" would have been the way to go in response.

+996, I appreciated the info. I don't give a fvck how professional the camera work was. This is a technical YouTube video, accept it for what it is.

Jake,
Thank you for putting this video together. Best explanation I've ever seen, hands down. I know that I will sleep much better tonite since I have an early 99(build date in 98) and the engine has not been replaced, which means that I have the dual row bearing which is much more durable.

Jake, thank you for the awesome and informative video! You look a lot younger than I thought you were for some reason. Anyways, I've always wanted a Porsche 911 even as a kid, now that I have an opportunity to get one from 1999 - 2009 (base model), which year would you recommend getting in terms of most fun to drive and best bang for the buck? I am not a mechanic by any standard so i don't want to spend a lot of time having it in a shop. TIA
