The only way that a video like this would get the actual point across is with neutrality.

Though I may have invented these tools, processes, and bearings, I don't sell any of them, and we no longer even offer preventative packages (700 was enough)- only engines.

Due to this, I was the best person for this job. I don't give a damn what anyone buys, or whether it comes from the originator, or an imitator.

The goal of these videos are purely technical, not commercially driven, or political in nature. Thats why the ONLY group I would have done this with, is PCA. I'm just happy they invited me to the show.

Many P car owners appreciate the work you and your team do.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you Jake for taking the time and effort to do this video! You have a great way of explaining, that is clear and informative (a rare trait I might add).

Was very interested in watching the video. After fixing a nice morning cup of coffee, turned on the computer, clicked the link, and as soon as I hit the play button.... boom... lost power in the entire house! I blamed it on the IMS, of course.

I try to explain things in the manner that I am often asked questions about these issues, and products. Its the same questions over and over, and the same concerns over and over.

Note that I have no notes, and there's no script. 100% of that info is from my brain housing group, and is memorized. Most scenes only had one take, and Vu was blown away at how smooth it all went. Not too bad for a guy that graduated from Special Ed.

👍 True knowledge can’t be “learned” from a book (although books can certainly help). There is no short cut to experience - the only true learning experience is gotten by doing, over and over, refining techniques and tools and approaches along the way. True knowledge is confident but never arrogant.

Jake,

What's opinion on late 997.1 Bearing. 07/08 motors. Have you seen failures? An article in Excellence states that fail rates in those engines is low and bearing quite robust as in early M96 ones. Or would you recommend just going to 09 or new 997.2

Watch the upcoming videos in the series for the answer to this question.

Though we’ve been building the .2 engines for 8 years, I’m not fond of them in many ways. Buying one just because it doesn’t have an IMS isn’t smart.

Oh, I love the ones that break the most... Love them almost as much as I love Mobil 1!

BUT there’s a reason why my daily driver choice is an 88 Carrera with over 300,000 miles on it.
