I have the Bilt/LN Engineering deep sump. It appears about the same as the Mantis setup except the Bilt version includes the EBS Racing metal X51 baffle. It also comes with 997 return tubes which get the oil back to the sump faster than the stock cylinder type returns do. I plan to install a skid plate this winter, it does hang lower and I drive my car to and from the track.

Remember to mark the oil filler area with a note about the extra capacity otherwise when someone changes the oil and fills only the regular amount of oil....................

Check how ddurable the 'window flaps' in the new pan are. The ones with robust s/s hinges and heavy gauge flaps are less likely to warp/bind ? If these flaps leak ,they are somewhat useless.

To me the Mantis kit looks seriously inferior to the LNE / Bilt racing deep sump kit. Looking at the photos the Mantis does not improve keeping the oil around the pickup, it looks like it just deepens the sump, but oil can still slosh side to side. It also retains the 996 oil return tubes which slow the return of oil to the sump because of the swirl pots. These swirl pots were supposed to reduce oil foaming but they were found to be unnecessary so they were deleted on the 997.
With the LNE kit you get the EBS Racing metal door X51 baffle which is also much better than the factory X51 with rubber doors. Additionally there is a cover over the deep sump with a controlled opening that only allows oil to enter/exit thru the baffle, not past the sides of the baffle as it appears the Mantis kit will allow....sort of rendering the baffle pointless.
For about the same price the LNE / Bilt version looks much better. https://lnengineering.com/2qt-deep-s...51-baffle.html

Just to clarify a few points, the Mantis Deep Sump has been developed since 2006. The Mantis Sump has dams built in the sump to direct oil to the oil pick up. The Mantis Sump uses the 997 style discharge tubes, it can also be used with the old style swirl pots. We feel that rubber flaps seal better and don't not LEAK like the steel doors on the X51 setup. Mantis has purchased all of the other setups to evaluate them. Also the position of the windage prevents oil sloshing up the sides of the block, X51 set up does not. Mantis is the only manufacture that has published oil pressure data while racing. The Mantis Sumps, two sizes, have the lowest profile with the largest capacity. The 1.2 L sump is as slim as most .5L setups, and still has a windage tray and oil baffles built in.

I have seen a similar deep sump kit with rubber flaps in the far right and left side of the windage tray in order to allow oil to flow down to the space under the tray but preventing it to flow out. Any idea on the benefits for this design alteration?
