EPS (European Parts Solution) IMS upgrade?
All, searched forum for this and didn't find anything.
I've used the LN Engineering kit in the past and seems fine. Discovered the EPS kit which seems to have some differentiators such as cylindrical bearing and "oil feed" element. Does anyone have experience with this? Professional (or unprofessional for that matter) opinion on pros/cons of either, or better alternative altogether?
Realize these are all band-aids on a wound but point is to get peace of mind and drive the car worry-free!
Thanks --

Just changed my IMS to the EPS version at 68k miles on a car I just purchased. The OEM IMS replaced was in great condition! Hope I never have to do this again. Two really good things: The clutch was gone and the rear main seal was leaking! Good timing!

No wrench - I drove 200 miles to get to my nearest certified installer. Maybe a wrench if the car is not drivable or you suspect an imminent IMS bearing failure.

If you want to use roller bearing IMS the benchmark is the RND (*Search).Keyword 'Thrust'.See the same product on LN Eng.

What everyone else said. 300 miles isn't bad at all. Its just a 1 time trip and then you're done. Rent a trailer and take your car there if you're worried about miles. I'd imagine most shops could complete this in a day if you schedule it in advance.

Ahsai, thanx for the info, been looking to buy 2 kits. I believe the solution is the best way to go, never having to replace again if keeping the car or adds value to the resale of the car.
