Default For those using a scissor lift with their 996

Hi,
just joined the scissor lift owners. My lift is very similar to the Bendpak model MDP 6. But UK sourced. I would just like to know from those of you who have a scissor lift , how much can you rock the car on the lift? How much side to side and back and forth movement do you get?
Having just had a few trial lifts with my car I am a little concerned by how much movement there is. I have tried to center the lift to the C of G as much as possible and i'm using hockey pucks on the lift points.
Thanks in advance

Mine has 6000LB 2700kg So pretty beefy. I'm wondering if the hockey puks are the issue.

I have an EZCarLift and the car is pretty stable on there.

I try not to shake my car too much on the lift. But, I trust the 6000lb up rating with jack stands.

I have a snap-on/wheeltronics 6500lb mid-rise scissor lift and after 5 years of use I decided to get 4 short tripod stands to stabilize the vehicle. No more shaking and I figured my life was worth the price of the jack stands in the event the scissor lift failed. I bought 4 of these and they work well:

I place them under the swing arms of my lift right under the jack points.

I've had a variety of cars on both a Bendpack and a greg atlas mdr 6tldr or whatever its called, and both were very solid. Sure if you rocked the heavy end up and down, it would move, but there is really no reason to do that.

Never any incidents or near misses. both were solid lifts.
