Is your circuit board the same, and is the lock button in the same location? If so, the 2-button remote should work fine, the trunk button just won't do anything.

Pics, or it didn't happen!
Also, has anyone with a 1 button successfully done it yet?
Here's a question: can I buy a 997 remote and have it programmed for my 996?

Thanks, I think I had meant to reply to the valet key thread!
Anyway the 911 light looks awesome, its a $200 key here and I am dangerously tempted.
Although why doesn't the transponder pill fit in correctly? Does it actually need to be glued in to place?

You'd be better off buying the 996 housing, from my quick google search it can't be done

the stock one is glued in as well, it has a spot it goes in but it doesnt clip in with a lot of force, you just need a tiny bit
