Default How to *permanently* disable the alarm?

Have done several searches of this and other boards and now know far more than I ever wanted to about *why* my alarm beeps, and *why* it goes off frequently (always at the wrong times, of course).

Does anyone know how to safely and *permanently* disable the alarm? I just want to be able to lock my car...

PS. I know that you can lock/unlock the car with the key fob to disable the motion alarms... which might help if my key fob worked.

Thanks!

Maybe you just need a new alarm module.

Even if you could disable the alarm you'd need a PST2 or a PIWIS

It would probably be a good idea to identify why the alarm is being activated. It could just be one of more sensors that need to be replaced. Disabling the alarm is sort of like putting a piece of tape over a warning light...

Semi-permanently - locate the alarm horn in the trunk and disconnect the wiring harness that goes to it. No more beeps. See alarm horn #7 here http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=903-00

Agree - I believe the alarm horn is near the brake fluid reservoir.

I had the same issue recently, alarm going off at odd times. Turns out my battery needed replacing.

Just as another data point, I installed the "soft chirp" on the weekend and am happy with the sound and volume. Super quick and easy. All I needed was a pack of blade connectors from the local auto parts store
