Hi folks. I have a 996 I'm considering which has a Techart type III fixed wing in place - this effectively replaces the stock motorized wing with a fixed unit. I prefer the car without a wing, so wondering what's involved in refitting a factory one? I assume there is a harness to update, etc.

I'd likely offer the techart up for sale, wondering what ballpark is on one?

With regards to a fixed wing for installation you've got three options:

1. Modify your current harness and turn it into a fixed wing harness (not recommended) or find a used harness and modify that

2. Have the dealership program the fixed wing off (you'll need to get it programmed back if you sell the wing)

3. Purchase a fixed wing harness - plug and play

These options also happen to be in order of cost from cheapest to most expensive as well. The 3rd option is a GT3 part so the price is not pretty.

I have an OEM spoiler in excellent condition (fins, brake light) with the motor as well if you need one. PM me.
