Default Added some vintage luggage to my Targa

My wife and I hopefully plan on taking some road trips in the fall to see some foliage changes and festivals, but wanted to add some fitted style luggage to the Targa for the trip.

With some eBay bidding and visiting Antique stores in the area, I have came up with matching American Tourister pieces that fit both on the package shelf and fronk of the 996. All pieces match , are in excellent condition, like new, and are very classy looking when you pull them out at the Bell hop. I have the keys, and ID tags for the period.

I now working on getting some Gray straps to tie them down on a modified packing shelf behind the front seat and put the Travel Bag and Train Case in the fronk with room to spare.

When I get a little closer to completion I post some addition pic's

Train or "makeup case and Travel case pics

i.e. Don't make it like this anymore". This is the stuff that advertised a Gorilla as a baggage handler !

That's great stuff! I've got an old makeup case from that line that i've been using as a wire & adapter box for at least 25 years, and it's still going strong!!! "They don't make 'em like that anymore"... (now I feel old )

I remember Beechmont Porsche. In fact, I recently came across Polaroids my friends and I took there when we were in high school. It was right after the 996 came out and I'd wanted one ever since.

Ha! Just like this one!!!

It says "train case", but I always thought it was for make up, as it's got a mirror in the top...

That's the question, Mr. Mullins. That has ALWAYS been the question. Regrettably, I have no idea.
