Default Would you rather have TT or C4S?

OK. You might think I'm crazy but I traded in my '01 Turbo for an '04 C4S Cab. And I could've had the Turbo Cab but I wanted the C4S instead...
Turbo:
Incredible power, mostly over 4,000 rpm.
Great looks, lots of attention.
Disappointing sound; aftermarket exhausts sounded better but couldn't eliminate that dreaded drone/resonance around 2,000rpm. Had to switch back to stock.
Hard to use all that power around town; 2nd gear on ramps is about it.
C4S:
Cleaner look; no gill slits but still wide.
Power- OK, it's no turbo but I did get the powerkit upgrade (345hp). Haven't tried the extra hp because I'm still breaking it in. But it really feels plenty powerful for everyday driving (M3 kinda power).
Sound- Wow, the sport exhaust sounds incredible! I didn't think sound was so important until I drove the Ferrari 360 Modeno. Pure adrenaline. And I honestly think this sounds better (ok almost as good). My wife thinks it's too loud and I accidently told her how to hit the button to make it quiet. Damn, I'll never get to drive it now.
Around town, feels stronger at lower rpm's; more linear.
What I do miss- if you put your cell phone or wallet in the cubby below the cd storage, hit the gas on the turbo and your stuff is somewhere in the back seat. It stays in the cubby in my C4S but sounds a lot better along the way.

Money no object, TT hands down. I bought a C4S. Just don't think the TT is worth the $30K difference. Still happy with the choice.

Definitely TT. ( I bought one !! ) . ! Both cars are splendid cars. My only criticism about the TT is the Turbo lag, I prefer an atmospheric engine. But my main concern with a TT or a 4S will never be the sound and the way they drive in the city !!! I am surprised with your analysis !! The TT is mainly a car for travelling or speeding . Not at all a city car. Your choice, following your needs ( nice sound and sweet drive in the city ) is right. But being this your reasons to buy, why not a Lincoln or a 530 BMW ?? I drive in the city a BMW or a small FIAT. I do not think that a 4S or a TT are the ideal cars for a city. Anyhow there are so many reasons to buy a Porsche !!...

I bought the C4S for the same reasons of daily driveability. I live in West Los Angeles where the traffic is non-stop. Linear Power and reliability of a N/A motor were important to me.

With the options i have on mine, it would have only been another 15k for the Turbo but i didn't think i could justify the power/money with only the occasional track and canyon use.

Some people think the C4S has cleaner lines but i like the side scoops of the turbo. The red reflector of the C4s is a nice compromise though.

Forgot to mention. If you like the lines of the C4S more but feel the need for more power...Do the EVOMs supercharger for $10k and scare the $hit out of turbo owners. Only problem is that you'll void your warranty.

You have to remember that those same options you got on the C4S will still be options on the TT. The base TT is only 15K from mine as well, but that would only be a base TT. More car for the money with the C4S, IMHO.

Now, the GT3 with simple options (Xenon, and a few others), would cost as much as what I paid for the C4S. The GT3 will come with the basketball surface dash and not the full leather standard on the C4S, and lack the other options, but there is so much more to the car that it would still be worth it. Again, IMHO.

TT
I had been debating the two cars for a few weeks, pros and cons of each ,at least how I viewed them.
Pricing was a factor I considered.
Eventually though , instead of viewing the C4S as $30k less ,I look at the TT as costing only an additional $30k.
I'll probably be waiting a while , I have a cab on order, but it will be worth it.

The C4S of course, it is lighter weight than the TT that has to carry around that pair of heavy twin turbos all the time...

Besides isn'a a TT an Audi? C4S just "sounds" better....

Price is an issue for me, so used TT vs. New C4S=C4S.

If price not an issue then TT.
