Default need seat belt bolt solution for planted brackets

does anyone have a solution for mounting the seat belt buckle when you use these brackets? there is a hole in the bracket but the stock bolt cannot mount because its to short and the nut is on the stock seat

i have something rigged up from ace hardware but its not grade 8 hardware and i want to replace it with something safer for sure, and something that looks better

Are you referring to this bracket: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Planted-Seat...BTwGQA&vxp=mtr

or these brackets: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Planted-Seat...dWoc-5&vxp=mtr

If you are talking about the first one, you can order the appropriate graded hardware.

If you are talking about the second, one, I would not mount the buckle to the side brackets.

Are you also installing harnesses for going to the track? Or will you only ever be using 3 points.

If you will only be using 3 points, I would suggest picking up an extra set of Porsche manual seat rails, and use the planted side brackets, and mount those to the Porsche rails. This way you can retain your OEM seat belt buckle location. Something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-996-...lWgISh&vxp=mtr

If you plan on using harnesses, I would really suggest getting the Brey Kraus side brackets. They can be set up with a sub strap, OEM bucklet and an eye hook to clip the lap belt for the harness too.

It's a more expensive way to go, but safety is not a place to be cheap.

the first one, and yes I have the hardware kit but it doesnt include the seat belt buckle nut / bolts

you can see what you get here http://www.plantedtechnology.com/pla...dware-kit.html

I dont plan to install a harness but yeah that is the best solution obviously

This may be a solution, would also give you the option for a harness later. My only concern is that I think the OEM bolt has a bit of a shoulder on it so the latch can rotate some.

I had the corbeau version of the mount which has the same set up. It was supposed to be threaded, but was not.

How about these, and get the proper bolt to go with them.

that might work, or maybe i should just thread the bracket or weld a nut on, but i still cant find a thick bolt that is 3/4 inch

i was hoping there was a simple solution i was missing
