Default 996tt & 993tt diverter valves the same?

Just wondering if both are the same or at least same size/design?

I'm in the hunt for some new diverter valves to replace the factory ones but I'm more set to diaphragm type diverter over the piston type. I found the APR diverters but only does show for the 996tt. So, I'm wondering if those could actually fit in the 993tt which I guess it does.

Thanks!

Now I'm between the newer design F008 Forge valve (piston type, slightly cheaper by $20) or this APR valve.

Anyone running one of these? Any advice?

Thanks

just get the 710N valve and be done with it.

All this aftermarket stuff is crap for basically stock cars.

Default 996tt & 993tt diverter valves the same?

All I found about the 710N is/was replaced by the 710P and some says has lower spring pressure but is not confirmed. Anyways the 710N is NL from Bosch but from Kayser or the like and appears to be made in china (not so sure on this).

I do plan to mod the DME or just get another DME for a reflash as my car is equipped with the K24 turbos / Turbo S oil cooler / Turbo S DME, etc. Looking to get close to the 500HP would be my goal.

Anyways, I ordered the newer Forge F008. Hopefully these valves will fix the issue I have been hunting for long time of not "kick" when in boost sometimes (feels like N.A. Engine) and sometimes it pushes you against the seat with gobs of torque like it should be always.

EVO billets and done! Trouble free and love the "bark" on the shifts. Stock diaphragm units don't last with heat.

can someone remind me how "deep" the diverter valves are once the IC is removed? put another way, how much time should I set aside for R&R'ing them

The valves themselves aren't "too" buried. Remove AB on pass side, blower assm on dr side. If you're replacing, and have never done any of the hoses that connect them, then I'd get new ones. The best way is to pull the 3 small, separately shaped hoses. Take them to a good/large auto parts store, and ask to spend some time going thru their assortment of heater/radiator hoses. Find a few (as close to ID diameter a possible) that have same/similar bends. It's not that hard, just a little time consuming. $40 bucks, and I had 3 heater core hoses that will outlast my vehicle. They're thick walled hoses, that are made to withstand high heat, liquids, and pressures. After cutting them to fit, I had extra to make new base hoses where DVs mount to intake plenum. Get new clamps also. I did a DIY thread on it, but not able to find it. Good luck.

Here ya go, found an old pic of when I was doing em.

So using ECS page I find this for a part# 99311325750 and the pic of what they show doesn't look anything like the Bosch 710N and when looking at the top of the part it has a 996 part # or so it appears. I am guessing its a whoops, but thought I'd post anyway

That's not the "blow off" diverter valve. It's actually an "air injection system valve, on a 996". Go to Paragon Products. They have a set of forged valves for $210 bucks.

The correct OE part for both 993TT and 996TT is 99311033751.
