Seems like they have gone back to their roots with a modern twist. Love their models. I wonder what the lead time is if one places an order for one of SCR 4.2,Ultimate or the Turbo R limited. While I love Singer cars, I would take a RUF instead.
I wish I could afford to send Ruf my car for a little restoration and conversion to one of these retro-specs!

612 hp sounds interesting, I assume single plug? I thought 590 was highest output ruf was able to obtain from the air-cooled 3.6 or maybe more now -? ruf racer, mod500, Bill S or TB993tt might know.
Damn. I wrote a detailed reply but my 'token expired' and erased everything. Okay. RB Brakes (a rennlist sponsor) offers a variety of sizes. They have one for the 996 Turbo. Willwood's website has a number of applications listed (not the 993 turbo specifically). Brembo have kits - fitment? A company called Surface-Transforms has a 996 fitment. It would be wise to understand what carbon ceramic construction they are using and where they are made. The technology has progressed a bit. If any were made in China I would question the quality. I think it might be nice to use the same calipers and just change the rotors and pads.

I think it will be single plug, it's quoted at 750NM torque which is indicative.
I'm thinking the extra power is coming from the better turbo technology in the latest KKKs, I know RS can get 800PS now on the 993 using Secan so 612 seems pretty doable using standard intercooling...
Ruf is tapping into this massive market for older 911s underpinned by their increased values, I know RS are very busy building special engines for older 911s, they have a two month wait currently for anything !!
Are those 993 rear lights different, they look all red - quite funky.
When they opened the engine I couldn't see twin distributors and that was a standard intercooler so if they can get 612hp using standard intercooler that is pretty impressive, the old K24/26 used to manage about 540PS maximum, these newer K24s are much more efficient, able to keep charge air temps down and I guess because they are keeping the torque relatively low then there is lower boost in the mid range which helps keep temps down.

I don't really have many details, perhaps Kevin could tell us if the latest K24 is physically the same size/construction as the older ones. Certainly they changed in some way from 993 fitment to 996 fitment.
My tuner claims that they have a specially developed compressor wheel which was designed for them by a PHD student as part of his work at a Munich technical university. These compressor wheels are quite distinctive as I had them in my VTG turbos on my 7GT2 and later on my current K24s and there is a very obvious noise which they make as they boost up, a deep gutteral noise which is nothing like eg the K24/26 on my 993.
So I think the magic is in these compressor wheels and I am guessing that other tuners will also have this new technology, like I said 800PS on a Secan 993 and on my 997 1.4 bar boost by 3200rpm and able to flow 800+hp at 7000rpm, pretty tricky stuff
I saw somewhere that the limited edition R is 500000ish euro...
You'd think they would have an secan or updated intercooler for that price!
Got a email back from ruf in Germany saying the brakes are not available yet, still under development getting german certifications and such. They say they will let me know when a kit is available. I expect would be very pricey. The Vancouver Weissach guy was hinting we could see a ruf R here in Vancouver! Could consider getting the ruf treatment to my spare engine, wonder how much that would cost!
The rain gutter less, RUF F/R bumper covered car, is the most beautiful look on these cars. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I could afford it. Would like to see what new K24 tech's available.
