You're right! I'd better buy buy buy before it's too late!!!! Let me just check on my Pets.com stock and see if I can sell any of that to get in on these hot AC 911s while I still can! Or I guess I could flip that Hemi 'Cuda I bought back in '06, should make a nice profit on that one.

Sounds like it's time then to buy CDs and lease a Hyundai Sonata . A 100% guarantee of your investment principal combined with the cheapest form of driving available. But where the hell is all the fun in that? I truly hope you find your dream 993 turbo in the future. Just don't wait too long or you will have to park it outside of your nursing home

I'm not too worried. Despite what may be happening in Germany's market, prices for driver cars here have pretty clearly stabilized. If they go down, great, if they stay flat or creep marginally upward, also fine. While I'm waiting and watching, I'll be cramming more bucks under the mattress for the car and ugprades anyway.

Woah, woah, dollars under the mattress is a net loss. What about inflation and the time-value of money?!

I have had my driver 97 C4S on Pelican for about a week now. Strong euro interest and one US buyer is serious who is in Oregon. Has to be cheap enough to make up for the fees and shipping associated with importing to Europe. Plus they like Canadian cars for the exchange rate and cluster in kms.

A local dealer has 7 993s in stock and can't move them without a loss. They have a guards red TT on ebay with 996 wheels. The owner took the original wheels for his personal low mile polar silver TT that was missing the wheels.

Inflation under 2% (1.3% in Canada) and maximum no risk interest rates of 1.75% ie. 0.8% after tax....there is very little time value of money. In some of Europe -ve interest rates so mattress is the best place......or **** it all away.

Still saving up for that down payment huh? What are the loan rates on a 20+ year old Porsche nowadays?

Something about that "FINAL PRICE" makes me chuckle.

There is a lot of good advice in this thread from two years ago.

So, what's the ceiling? (Another "crazy prices" thread)

Meanwhile . . . .

I'm sorry, I found this image a few weeks back and couldn't help myself.
.
Please realize, I posted it not to be mean spirited as I really don't care whether you buy one or not, I just don't like to see people give up on their dreams. Life is too short not to partake, even if just for a little while.

Regards, and I hope you find your car soon.

Boy, I forgot I even made that thread. How naive I once was...

Edit: Or was that some childish attempt to embarrass me? If so, you're as sad as piranha.
