Default Need Valuation Assistance

Unfortunately, I am getting divorced and need to get a valuation on my car so I can buy out the ex.

I currently have about 45k miles. Nose and hood could use a respray to be perfect. Leather on dash top stretched due to UV exposure by first owner.

Mods as noted in my signature.

Thanks is advance

This is where you get the worst valuation possible! Maybe KBB or the like, and describe it as low as you reasonably can. Modified and track use can be viewed as devalued.

I have one with 75k miles that Pretty Modded for Track & DE, putting some work & parts into over next few weeks, I'm gonna ask low $80's, Yours I would guess $90's to $100k. None out there at that price...

Thanks guys - I have been looking at classifieds in Panorama, but those seem to be aspirational asking prices rather than reasonable selling prices.

KBB listed a dealer selling price of $130, so private party sale should be lower.

Here is a link to a 96 valuation from Hagerty. Sorry to hear about your personal life challenges.

What I was getting at is, you want a very low valuation that you can reasonably use. If you're trying to buy her out, then get it as low as you can. Don't use Haggertys or anyone else, that you'd normally want to use. Don't use comparisons if you can.
My brother bought more than a few of his cars, from divorces, where the guy was dumping it for nothing, to cut her amount. Spite, let him score some great deals.

If I were you, I'd probably pay to have a formal auto appraiser have a look at my cars. There's guys who specialize on different type of cars who may (or may not be) useful in your situation. Not sure you'd want too much on a public forum that can be searched by anyone. I think I'd try to be reasonable/fair in general. Karma and such..

I used to joke with my ex-wife that it would be cheaper to kill her than settle. She was fair! GLWS and welcome to bachelorhood. Before you let it go, park in front of a Lululemon with the passenger door open for a bit.

Take it to Car Max and get their cash price. Probably least aggressive number that may seem acceptable at negotiating...

Ask Doug Demuro...he will tell you exactly what is worth. If in doubt, his co partner at CarMax will take care of it.

Sorry to hear your trouble...most of the time, women!!

A RL'er might be int. With a little TLC it will be exactly what someone is looking for a Bette than primo price. I missed the details I guess. Color, interior?

OP's signature describes the car pretty well. Black/black and mods.
