Default Forum group buy with Car Parts Discount

Hey guys/gals we are looking into the idea of doing some forum group buys. Is this something you might be interested in? if so what types of items would you like to see us focus on? any and all info is appreciated.

It might help if you can explain what you guys sell, and your sales model. Are you focused on maintenance items, or upgrades? Customized parts or generic? High end performance cars or a more broad category?

For example, we know Tire Rack does tires, what does your company focus on? That sort of information would help people formulate their asks....

Cheers,

Mike

Mike, thanks for the feedback.

We typically sell replacement items (both factory and aftermarket) for stock applications. If enough people are looking for a group buy for some performance items we can look into that as an option as well. Please keep the feedback coming, we really do appreciate it.

Ok, for example. Let's say we wanted to purchase 993 Turbo factory polyurethane side skirts. What would that cost be? One vs. several. I can't find them on your site but didn't search based on part number.

Thanks,
Bryan

Bryan, thanks for commenting. So on something like that here is what would happen. We do not typically carry that item so i could not really give you a price just yet. What would have to happen is if enough people were interested in that item we would contact the manufacturer or supplier and see what we could do for a bulk purchase at once and pass the savings onto you guys...... Just for future reference, just because you do not see it on our website doesn't mean we don't offer it or cant get it. Please reach out and let us know what you are looking for and we will see what we can do to help. Please let me know if you have any questions or if i can be of any further assistance.

I just don't see the value of your post when you ask if someone has a group buy call us for a discount. It's like we are all in the same town and talk about our needs and they aren't different, meaning we could buy one part in bulk.

My idea would be to offer the best most competitive price you can and still be happy and the business will follow. Trying to generate a group by on a random part is a waste of time for you and me. This typically only works on larger items (boost pipes, car lifts, etc).. and these things we would go to the specialist for like S-Car-Go for the pipes and do a group buy there. I doubt you would find 5 people that needed boost pipes and also wanted to keep everything oem... my .02
